pulse

“pulse” is an interactive media art installation by Jona Hoier and Markus Murschitz, which tracks, analyzes and visualizes the visitors of the AIT Mobility Department. A person is represented by a pulsating point – with reference to the human heartbeat – leaving traces in the system. On a regular basis the system switches to a replay mode. During replay 16 previously captured traces overlay and therefore show the movement pattern accumulated in the past.

Concept & realization by Jona Hoier & Markus Murschitz in collaboration with Markus Ray & Norbert Brändle (AIT) and Susanne Seitinger (MIT Media Lab)
